Permission of Use Forms

(added 5.1.2011)

In the coming months, the current—and still provisional—version of the Engineering Design Process Portfolio Scoring Rubric (EDPPSR) will be the focus of a pilot scoring study, on the basis of which it is likely to be further revised and refined. This study, funded by the Kern Family Foundation, will be conducted under the leadership of Dr. Leigh Abts, University of Maryland and will draw participants from a number of academic and extramural engineering programs.

In preparation for that study, we are seeking permission from students  to use their work in this study for two distinct and very important purposes
;

-------Rubric Validation for the University of Maryland study
                                       and/or

-------Public use of student work as examples for the promotion of portfolio work in STEM Education

Consistent with research practices, the portfolios will be submitted on a “blind” or anonymous basis, without providing identifiable information such as the student’s name.

Please consider allowing your work to be used for one or both of these purposes to help promote Design and Problem Solving in the national conversation on STEM Education.

Thank you.
